Graduate Women's Writing Circle

Friday, January 18, 2019 - 9:00am to 1:00pm

Every Friday morning from 9 AM - 1 PM, the Women's Resource Center turns on the coffee pot, shuts the door, and invites all of our GA Tech graduate women to our weekly Writing Circle.

This designated time is entirely your own to reflect on your assignments, research, study, or even collaborate with other graduate students in a quiet space (with free coffee!)

Yoga for EveryBody

Tuesday, January 22, 2019 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm

These free, beginner yoga classes are open to students, staff, and faculty.  Classes are  sponsored by the Body Image Committee, a collaboration led by the Women’s Resource Center and Health Initiatives. Mats will be provided and it is recommended that participants be able to get down onto and up from the floor.

Coffee Talk

Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 3:00pm

Women in Engineering (WIE) and the Women's Resource Center (WRC) will co-host a Coffee Talk series this fall for undergraduate and graduate women majoring in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) areas of study. This series will give STEM women a chance to informally gather, get to know one another and to discuss topics – technical and personal – that are important to them. Coffee, tea, and dessert will be provided.

Craft Circle: Crochet Basics

Friday, January 25, 2019 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

The Women's Resource Center Craft Circle is a series of workshops designed to provide stress relief and healing while bringing together GA Tech students for a shared experience. Whether you specialize in Pinterest fails or run an Etsy shop, join us in the WRC to build community and learn a new skill! All supplies will be provided and workshops are free.

This workshop will cover the basics of crochet as participants create a travel coffee mug cozy from start to finish. Due to the nature of this workshop, space will be limited to 15 students able to arrive at the 2PM start time and stay until their project is complete. RSVP required!

Graduate Women's Night on the Wall

Join the Women's Resource Center and Outdoor Recreation at Georgia Tech at the CRC Climbing Wall for Graduate Women's Night on the Wall! Gather with fellow graduate women to try a new skill and meet new friends in an open and affirming space! No prior climbing experience is necessary.
