WLC 2024

In March, the Women's Resource Center celebrated Women's History Month with various programs and events throughout campus and concluded with its Women's Leadership Conference in the Exhibition Hall. This year's conference theme was the Eight Dimensions of Wellness, which is a part of The Cultivate Well-Being and Transformation Roadmap. Former directors of the center Dean Colleen Riggle, Associate Dean of Students, and Melanie DeMaeyer opened the conference by sharing special memories and experiences from previous Women’s Leadership Conferences. Over 100 attendees were divided into break-out rooms throughout the Exhibition Hall for educational sessions held by campus leaders, highlighting Georgia Tech’s Eight Dimensions of Wellness. After the sessions, attendees listened to keynote speaker Dr. Beth Cabrera, as her presentation focused on the importance of taking care of your well-being and providing helpful resources for attendees that stem around your health. The current Assistant Director of the WLC, Taylor Bischoff, presented Dr. Cabrera with a special gift, thanking her for delivering an incredible speech. The event culminated with closing remarks from Dr. Kim Harrington, Interim Associate Vice President of Arts, Belonging, and Community, and a networking hour where attendees could mingle and connect.
