As Georgia Tech takes measures to reduce the spread of Covid-19, the Women’s Resource Center will be closed for drop-ins and staff will be working a staggered remote/on-campus work schedule. We will be closely following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Georgia Department of Health to practice social distancing, provide health education to our students, and practice effective workplace hygiene as protection from contracting and spreading COVID-19.

Meetings with Melanie DeMaeyer, Assistant Dean of Students and Director

Meetings with Melanie can be scheduled remotely or in-person. Remote meetings via phone or Bluejeans can occur any day of the week. For meetings that must be done in- person, Melanie will be available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays and will require a face covering. To schedule an appointment, send her an email at the contact information listed below.

Meetings with Dani Lechner, Program Coordinator

Meetings with Dani can be scheduled remotely via phone or Bluejeans any day of the week. To schedule an appointment, send her an email at the contact information listed below.

Programming during the Fall semester will continue remotely. We will assess the ability to host in-person programming throughout the semester. Any availability of in-person programming will be dependent upon the event, number of attendees, and room size, and the ability to offer the event remotely for those who are unable to attend the event in-person. All in-person events will practice physical distancing will require the wearing of face coverings.

Access to Center Common Areas

In order to maintain sanitation protocols, the Women’s Resource Center common areas (including our lobby, mural room, and conference room) will not be open for the Fall semester.
